NA back in barracks
KATHMANDU: The Nepal Army on Sunday officially returned to their barracks from Tikapur of Kailali district. The Directorate of Nepali Army said in a statement that the army returned to the barracks after the security situation of Tikapur Municipality and nearby area became normal.
The government had deployed the army to “assist the civil authority” as per the Local Administration Act 1971, Section (6, 2) and Section (6.b) on August 24 following a fatal attack against security forces and civilian in Tikapur.
