'Narayangadh Food Festival' in New Year

RATNANAGAR, CHITWAN: 'Narayangadh Food Festival' has been organised in Chitwan for the first time on the occasion of Nepali New Year 2075 BS.

The food festival that kicked off in Campachaur of Narayangadh this morning would continue up to April 16, informed Festival Coordinator Gyanendra Man Shakya.

English New Year is celebrated with fanfare but the trend of marking Nepali New Year is waning, so the food festival is organised, Shakya added.

Bharatpur Metropolis Mayor Renu Dahal inaugurated the festival organised by Newa Pucha Narayangadh. As many as 60 food stalls have been placed with varieties of food items. Around Rs 2.5 million is estimated to be spent during the festival.
