Narayangadh-Mugling road shut for 2 hours everyday
CHITWAN: The Narayangadh-Mugling road section has remained closed for two hours every day for the past four days for traffic management for the road expansion works.
According to the Chief District Officer in Chitwan, Binod Prakash Singh, the bodies concerned have been directed to carry out the construction task by closing the traffic movement for two hours from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm every day after the vehicular movement was adversely affected while carrying out regular construction tasks.
The construction task is being carried out only for two hours after holding discussions with local administrations as complaints were received regarding traffic obstructions throughout the day. Even ambulances had also faced problems in their movement.
The road widening task is on along the 36-kilometre stretch of the highway.
Representative of the construction company, Dharma Raj Dahal, said that the road section would be closed after broadcasting notice on local media as well as issuing a public notice.
