Chitawan: An unidentified gang torched a vehicle belonging to Narayani Municipality Office of Chitawan on Tuesday afternoon at Shukranagar-6 in the district.

District Police Office informed that the vehicle (Ko 1 Cha 2171) belonging to the Municipality’s Executive Officer Ramesh Subedi was set ablaze by six unidentified people in black masks, who were on three motorcycles.

According to DSP Rajan Adhikari, the gang forced Subedi, the driver Ganesh Acharya and a staffer Nita Basyal out of the vehicle, sprinkled petrol on it and set a match to it. The vehicle went up in flames.

Police is in search of the arsonists.
