Birgunj, October 2:

The Police Headquarters today told SSP of Narayani Zonal Police Office Ramesh Shekhar Bajracharya to be present at the centre within 24 hours.

Bajracharya has been transferred to Metropolitan Police Commissar’s Office for standing in

the way of Parsa police’s investigation into crime cases and establishing relations with criminals, a letter sent to Bajracharya stated.

It is learnt that Bajracharya had developed a bitter relation with SP Yogeshor Romkhami of Parsa DPO. The issue came to the notice of the Police Headquarters after Bajracharya started scuttling the operations and investigations initiated against criminals and smugglers by the Parsa DPO.

An injury team formed to look into the matter prepared a report based on its field visit here

and submitted to the central office.

SSP Tapendra Dhoj Hamal has replaced Bajracharya. Earlier, Hamal had been suspended from his duty following a robbery in a jeweller’s shop in Kathmandu while he was the chief at Hanumandhoka police office.
