Two killed in mishap

DHADING: Two persons were killed on Tuesday morning when a passenger bus bound for Birgunj collided with a truck at Simle of Dhading’s Bhumesthan VDC-6 along the Prithivi Highway. According to the District Police Office Dhading, truck driver Kul Bahadur Thapa and helper, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, died on the spot.

Maoist cadres hurt

DHANKUTA: At least 20 Maoist cadres were injured when a tractor bound for Dhankuta turned turtle at Kuwapani of Dhankuta along the Koshi Highway on Tuesday. According to District Traffic Police Office, the driver lost control of the overcrowded tractor with 50 people, who were heading to Dhankuta to participate in a programme organised by the Unified CPN-Maoist. Critically injured Buddhiman Rai, Bindra Rai, Bam Bahadur Biswokarma, Tanka Rai, Iman Rai and Mobil Rai were rushed to the BPKIHS Dharan for treatment
