NC’s CC meet

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress central committee meeting that was stalled since February 17 will resume on Sunday according to party sources. Sunday's meeting is expected to take decision on finalising new date of party's 12th general convention that was scheduled to be held from March 10 to 14 in Kathmandu, party sources said. Party's CC meeting, which started on February 9, has met four times. The meeting was called to fix new date for GC as the party failed to complete preparatory works for holding GC on specified time. The party has been unable to convene its GC even after one and half years since the expiration of the term of its all-level working committees. Internal disputes related to merger of NC and NC (Democratic) two and half years ago and personal interests of leaders are believed to be main reasons behind the delay.
