1 killed in mishap

BHOJPUR: One person was killed while three others were injured when a tractor loaded with chemical fertiliser skidded off the road at Timma area of the district on Monday. Police said Purnakala Rai of Khawa VDC-6 was killed while Sabita Rai of Khawa-6, Bibek Rai of Annapurna-5, and Devraj Rai of Khawa-3 were injured in the accident.

Hospital shutdown

Mahendranagar: All the in-patients and out-patients services, except the emergency, have been halted in Mahakali Zonal Hospital with effect from today. The doctors halted the services protesting a murder case, filed against them at the District Police Office yesterday. Issuing a press release, the agitating doctors said they would not withdraw their protest programme until the case filed against them was withdrawn. Due to the protest, hundreds of patients have been left in the lurch. Earlier, Neelam Bhattarai, 17, of Haldukhal in Bhimdatta Municipality died in course of treatment on Saturday. The next of kin of Neelam had filed a case against the doctors.
