Teen's body found

GULMI: A ten-year-old girl was found dead at Tamghas, district headquarters of Gulmi, here on Saturday. Police said the minor was raped and then killed. The body of the deceased has been recovered from the Baghmare steep in Tamghas-3. Meanwhile, police have identified the killer and have launched a manhunt for him.

Campaign for statute

BHAKTAPUR: Newly elected chairperson of the Democratic National Youth Forum aligned to the CPN-UML, Mahesh Basnet, has said that the forum was launching a nationwide campaign to exert pressure on drafting of the new constitution within the stipulated time. The statute must be promulgated within May 28, he reiterated while speaking at a programme organised by Bhaktapur branch of the forum. Meanwhile, Basnet accused the UCPN-Maoists of plotting against the constitution-making process. The youths would be mobilised against this maneuver, he added. The central meeting of the forum would be held from January 19-21 and formulate new youth policy and programmes, he said.
