Son kills father
Jhapa: Raj Kumar Begha of Gauradaha-1 in Jhapa killed his father with khukuri on Wednesday. According to Area Police Office, Damak, 66-year-old father Bhagishwor, who was seriously injured in the attack, died instantly. Police said that they had taken the 25-year old murderer under control and investigation into the incident was already underway.

DHADING: Unified CPN-Maoist shut Dhadingbesi Bazaar on Wednesday, protesting the firing in Dorkha Phedi, the northern part of the district, where a cadre of Young Communist League was injured on Tuesday evening. The party decided to shut the district headquarters in protest of the incident after the YCL cadre Santa Bahadur Tamang was critically injured after Youth Force activist Bala Ram Tamang aka Bikram opened fire on him, according to a press statement issued by the Maoists’ district committee’s secretary Bikash. However, CPN-UML Dhading chairman Guru Prasad Burlakoti claimed that Bala Ram Tamang was not the member of any wings affiliated with his party. He also denied the party’s hand in the incident. Injured Tamang is undergoing treatment in the TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj.
