National pride projects will be prioritised: Angbo

Phidim, March 2

Minister for Financial Affairs and Planning in Province 1 Indra Bahadur Angbo today said they had started homework to draft plans to develop the province as a model in the next five years.

“Province 1 will be completely transformed in the years ahead as we have begun necessary homework on construction and completion of national pride projects and other projects that were left in the lurch,” he said.

Speaking at a felicitation programme organised by Panchthar Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Phidim, Minister Angbo said the provincial government would strongly work for the overall development of the province. He added that he would consider key needs and priorities of all districts in the province while preparing budget as the finance minister.

Minister Angbo further said provincial and local levels were facing problems to carry on their duties as personnel from security agencies and bureaucrats had not internalised the spirit of federalism.

On a different note, Minister Angbo said the council of ministers in the province will get full shape within one-and-a-half week. “Appointing ministers to give the council full shape is being delayed due to a large number of ministerial posts’ aspirants from the left alliance,” said minister Angbo.
