NRA collecting details of fake quake victims

The Dolkha branch office of National Reconstruction Authority has started collecting the details of people who received grant meant for quake victims by producing fake document in the district.

Acting on instructions from the NRA Central Project Implementation Unit, Dolakha office of the NRA has started collecting details of people who received grant money by producing bogus documents.

Nirmal Darshan Acharya at the NRA Dolakha Office said that his office would collect the details of the people who bagged money by producing fake documents.

Meanwhile, nine people have returned money they received as first instalment of the housing grant in the district. Of them, four had taken money from Save the Children and had completed construction of their homes and returned the grant money received from the government to NRA. Two persons returned grant money as their names were repeated on the list of beneficiaries. One person returned the money, saying he had built his house with the money received in his mother’s name while another one returned money saying that he could not construct his house.
