NAWALPARASI: A woman succumbed to injuries she had sustained after being hit by a bus at Devichuli-1 of Nawalparasi district on Sunday.

The yet-to-be-identified pedestrian, who appeared to be in her mid 40s, was knocked down by a bus (Na 4 Kha 6933) at around 3:30 am today.

Critically injured in the accident, she had succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment at the Bharatpur Medical College in Chitwan.

The bus driver has been arrested while the vehicle impounded for further investigation, said the District Police Office, Nawalparasi.
