The Nepali Congress has been taking initiatives to strengthen and expand the party in villages of Tanahun. For the first time after general elections in 1999, district-level leaders of the party went to the villages to launch public awareness campaigns. Different teams have been mobilised in 13 different areas to launch awareness campaigns. While Ram Chandra Pokhrael,

a general committee member, is the coordinator of area number 1, Laxmi Prasad Acharya, Gobinda Prasad Silwal, Uday Raj Gauli, Ram Chandra Adhikari, Baikuntha Neupane, Parasu Ram Giri, Jhul Bahadur Ale, Dilli Ram Adhikari, Pushpa Raj Parajuli, Krishna Prasad Gautam, Tara Raj Rana and Nil Bahadur Thapa are the coordinators of teams that have been raising in the remaining areas.
