KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepali Congress denounced vandalism and arson on its district party office in Dhanusa.

Issuing a statement on Tuesday, the party said that cadres of the United Democratic Madhesi Front wielding lathis vandalised and torched the party office in Janakpur of Dhanusa on Monday.

The party said that property worth millions were destroyed in the arson.

The party said that the violent and indiscreet acts taking place in various parts of the country at a time when the constitution writing process is entering the final stage is grievous.

The party urged the agitating parties to find a political way out through talks.
