Bhairahawa, November 8:

General secretary of the Nepali Congress, Ram Chandra Poudel, today said that his party would go for the constituent assembly elections with its own ideology and not according to the demands of other parties or fora.

Talking to mediapersons after inaugurating the sixth central convention of the Nepal Telecom Workers’ Union in Bhairahwa, Poudel said NC was not in favour of any front, whether republican or democratic.

“A forum is required for weak parties. The NC has the support of the people,” he said.

Saying that efforts for a dignified unification of the NC and Nepali Congress (Democratic) were going on, Poudel said the two parties would be united before the constituent assembly election.
