NC female MPs submit memo to CM Bhatta

Nepali Congress female lawmakers today submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Trilochan Bhatta of Far-west Province demanding justice for 13-year-old Nirmala Pant, who was raped and subsequently murdered on July 26, in Bhimdatta Municipality, Kanchanpur.
NC lawmakers Dila Sangraula, Dibyaswori Shah and Nanda Bam met with CM Bhatta and submitted the memorandum demanding that the culprit(s) be booked.
The 10-point memorandum includes various demands including justice for Nirmala and an end to chhaupadi in the province. Sangraula, Shah and Bam had reached the CM’s office and submitted the memorandum.
Receiving the memorandum, CM Bhatta said that his government was collaborating with the federal government to nab the culprit(s) behind Nirmala’s rape and murder.
Similarly, some youths pasted photos of deceased Panta on the building of Far-west Provincial Assembly today.
Activists also pasted pamphlets demanding justice for Nirmala Panta in Damauli Bazaar, Tanahun.
