Nepali Congress youth  leader Udda Bahadur Aale of Byas Municipality has been missing since  last Wednesday in Tanahun district.

Family members said he had not returned home after he went to a  nearby jungle last Wednesday to graze cattle.

Deputy Superintendent of  Police Shyamu Aryal at District Police Office, Tanahun, said police  personnel, villagers and trained dogs were deployed to search for the missing youth leader.

Aale’s slippers, watch and sickle were recovered from the spot from  where he supposedly went missing, but his whereabouts remain unknown, said police.

Byas  Municipality Ward No 13 chair Laxmikanta Mishra said villagers were  actively searching for Aale. DSP Aryal said they would leave no stone unturned to find the missing leader.
