NC Madhesi MPs expect end of Tarai stir soon
KATHMANDU: Madhes-based lawmakers of Nepali Congress today expressed hope that the Tarai agitation would end soon as the amendment to the new constitution on Saturday had addressed the major concerns of the agitating parties.
Issuing a statement, 21 lawmakers of the NC said other issues, including provincial boundaries, citizenship, representation and language could be resolved through talks and dialogues.
Issuing a statement, the lawmakers also urged the agitating parties and all other concerned to allow the NC to hold its local level conventions without obstructions.
Bimalendra Nidhi, Ananda Prasad Dhungana, Farmullha Mansur, Ganesh Mandal, Sita Devi Yadav, Ram Ayodhya Prasad Yadav, Amiya Kumar Yadav, Minakshi Jha, Padam Narayan Chaudhari, Mahendra Yadav, Prem Kishor Sah, Sitaram Bhandari, Pramila Das, Laxmi Bhandari, Kiran Yadav, Ram Krishna Yadav, Ram Chandra Yadav, Radhe Chandra Yadav, Sunil Kumar Yadav, Lal Babu Singh and Haresh Prasad Mahato, among other NC lawmakers, had signed the statement.
