NC, Maoists to blame for talks impasse: Prashit

Baglung, October 27 :

CPN (UML) leader Modnath Prashit today said the ongoing peace talks have been disrupted because of the Nepali Congress’ love of monarchy and the Maoists’ love for weapons.

Prashit was speaking at a function organised to release a book “Ratna Shrestha Puraskar Guthi in Nepalese Literature” written by litterateur Dhundiraj Poudel.

The seven parties have to force the Maoists to give up arms after expressing support for a republican front, Prashit said, adding that all the problems that arose during the peoples’ war would be resolved through peace talks.

Dr Prem Sharma reviewed the book that was published by Deep Publications (Baglung).

CDO Krishna Prasad Lamsal, chairperson of the Dhaulagiri Literary Society Lal Chandra Rajbhandari and journalist Badri Sharma also expressed their views on the occasion.
