NC, NC-D nominate leaders for interim legislature

Kathmandu, January 14:

The Nepali Congress and NC (Democratic) today finalised the names of ten leaders to be nominated in the interim legislature.

The NC leaders today handed over the list of the ten names nominated for the interim legislature to PM Girija Prasad Koirala, who is also the president of the Nepali Congress party.

The nominated leaders include KB Gurung, Sujata Koirala, Bhim Bahadur Tamang, Harihar Dahal, Sita Devi Yadav, Suprabha Ghimire, Dinbandhu Shrestha, Yagya Raj Pathak, Krishna Kumari Shrestha and Amrit Kumar Singh, party sources said.

The NC (D) nominated names for their quota of six seats in the interim legislature. Those nominated include Prakash Man Singh, Bimalendra Nidhi, Pradip Giri, Minendra Rijal, Prakash Sharan Mahat and Uma Adhikari.

The Janamorcha Nepal (People’s Front Nepal), one of the breakaway factions led by Chitra Bahadur Ale, recommended the names of three nominees for the interim legislature-parliament to be announced tomorrow.

A press statement issued today by Janamorcha Nepal general secretary Navaraj Subedi stated that Sarita Maharjan of Kathmandu, Baburam Nepali of Baglung and Pramod Narayan Yadav of Dhanusha have been recommended for the interim legislature on behalf of the party.
