NC senior leaders lose ward-level election in Dhangadhi

DHANGADHI: Nepali Congress senior leaders faced a defeat in the ward-level election held before the party's 13th central General Convention scheduled for upcoming May 3-5.

Party former lawmaker and senior leader Hiradutta Bhatta lost the election from his locality Attariya Municipality-13.

Similarly, party former central member and former Minister of State Chandra Singh Bhattarai was defeated from the Tikapur Municipality-8.

Meanwhile, party district president Narnarayan Shah has been elected as the representative for the district level convention through the election of Dhangadhi Sub Metropolis-2.

Local leaders Narayan Bhatta, Ganesh Deuba and Bir Bahadur Hamal have been elected for the district convention scheduled to be held on February 8.
