President of the Nepali Congress, Gagan Kumar Thapa, has stated that the party will work to connect people of Nepali origin living across the globe.

During a meeting with a delegation from the Association of Nepali Origin (ANO) in the federal capital on Thursday, NC President Thapa recalled that the party's election manifesto had sought to engage Nepali-speaking communities residing in various countries.

ANO Chairperson Dilli Adhikari noted that investment could be mobilized from people of Nepali origin to support Nepal's development and prosperity. He also urged the NC to facilitate the formulation of laws that are more conducive to attracting such investment.

The delegation further called on the NC to take initiatives to ensure the safety and rescue of Nepalis living and working in West Asia in light of the ongoing conflict.
