RAUTAHAT, MAY 26
Nepali Congress topped the poll ranking in Rautahat after winning seven local levels in the local level election in Rautahat.
NC has won the election in Paroha, Rajpur, Gadhimai, Chandrapur, Madhavnarayan, Katahariya and Phatuwabijayapur municipalities.
NC lost Durgabhagawati, Rajdevi, and Brindaban municipalities.
Similarly, CPN-US has achieved the victory in Gaur, Rajdevi, Brindaban and Baudhimai municipalities.
The CPN-UML won the election in three places. It had lost in the past election.
The UML won the election at Maulapur, Garuda and Debahigonahi local levels.
Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal and CPN-MC faced great loss in the district. The parties were restricted to one local level each.
Loktrantrik Samajbadi Party has won the election in two local levels. Candidates of Loktrantrik Samajbadi Party won the election with its entire panel in Ishnath and Yamunamai rural municipalities.
Of the eighteen local levels in the district, CPN-MC won Durgabhagawati Rural Municipality and Janata Samajbadi won the election in Gajura Municipality.
According to Chief Election Officer's Office, the people's representatives from eleven local levels have taken oath of office and secrecy.
