NCP co-chair Dahal extends greetings on Tamu Lhosar, Udhauli, Ya: Mari Punhi

KATHMANDU: Co-chair of the Dahal-Nepal faction of Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal, said that Nepal is a country with its own unique cultural identity.

In a message of best wishes today on Tamu Lhosar celebrated by the Gurung community, Udhauli Parva celebrated by the Kirat community, and Ya: Mari Punhi celebrated by the Newar community, the former Prime Minister offered greetings to all Nepalis at home and abroad celebrating these festivals.

He said, the strength of Nepali society lies in its unity in diversity and mutual tolerance among traditions of various cultural groups.

Stating that the Constitution has ensured rights and identities for various communities in the country, he urged all to observe these festivals by following required health protocol amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

On the occasion, he also wished for good health, prosperity, and progress of all Nepalis while urging them to come together and join a protest so as to restore the achievements gained by the nation so far.
