NCP will not split but grow stronger: Home Minister Thapa

CHITWAN: Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa on Monday said the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) will not split but rather grow stronger amid the ongoing intra-party struggle.

Speaking at a presser in Bharatpur Airport in Chitwan today, Home Minister said that the differences inside the party will make the party and the government more solid.

"The ongoing NCP standing Committee meeting would resolve issues that have been arising in the party", claimed Minister Thapa who is also a party Secretariat member.

He further said that the disagreement among party members is a natural process.

On a different note, Minister Thapa  also commented on the ongoing anti-government protests staged by the royalists and opposition parties. "The forces against the constitution in the backdrop of ongoing emergency caused by the Covid-19 pandemic are trying to alter the constitution."

“However, their aim to alter the government and throw the current system is simply a dream, which will never be fulfilled,” claimed the home minister.
