KATHMANDU: National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC) announced an alert for a rise in temperature and blowing of hot wind in western Terai.

NEOC in its tweet suggested the locals to drink enough water and not to frequently travel outdoors during the extreme hours of mid-day.

Meteorological Forecasting Division forecasted that Nepalgunj (one of the major cities of western Terai) will witness a maximum temperature of 42.2 degrees Celsius today.
