Nepal Airlines Airbus grounded yet again, flights rescheduled

KATHMANDU: Airbus 320 aircraft of Nepal Airlines has been grounded at Tribhuvan International Airport after it once again witnessed a technical glitch on Friday, according to a source at the national flag carrier.

The 9N-AKW aircraft was grounded after its autothrust system could not operate in N1 mode.

The aircraft faced the technical problem when it was flying from Dubai to Kathmandu, the source said, adding that the thrust levers were jammed as the plane was landed at Nepal's only international aiprot at around 10:15 am.

"NAC has rescheduled its flights for tomorrow morning and technicians hoped that they would try to fix the problem by tomorrow evening."

NAC which operates two narrow body Airbus aircraft in international routes has been facing problem in the recent days as both planes have faced technical glitches time and again.
