KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bimalendra Nidhi on Sunday received a Qatar visit invitation. Calling on the DPM at the Ministry of Home Affairs today, Qatari Ambassador to Nepal Yousuf Mohammad Ahmed Mommad Al-hail on Sunday handed over the invitation on behalf of the Qatari Prime Minister as well as the Minister of the Interior, Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani. Accepting the invitation, Nidhi said he would visit the Gulf kingdom soon, the DPM's press advisor Ramjee Dahal informed after the meeting. The duo also discussed issues of mutual concern and bilateral relations, according to Dahal. On the occasion, the envoy had also assured that Qatar was ready to provide necessary support for the upcoming local level elections. Nidhi, in response, thanked the envoy for the offer and said the government would discuss the issue further and let Qatar know.
