Nepal COVID-19 Update: 270 new cases, 403 recoveries and seven fatalities recorded on Sunday

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Health Ministry shared the latest updates on coronavirus contagion from across the country.

Till date, 2,043,255 tests through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method have been carried out wherein 4,413 tests were performed in the last 24 hours.

At present, there are 145 people under quarantine in various facilities across the country. The number of active cases in Nepal is 3,312.

270 new cases of the coronavirus infection were registered today taking the national tally to 269,450.

As many as 403 persons earlier diagnosed with the disease have tested negative in the last 24 hours. With the recent addition, the national COVID-19 recovery tally has now reached 264,137.

Meanwhile, seven more fatalities were confirmed by the Ministry today, with which the country’s COVID-19 death tally has reached 2,001.

As of today, the country has witnessed 269,450 cases of the coronavirus infection while 264,137 people have recovered from the disease. Meanwhile, 2,001 COVID-19 fatalities have been confirmed.
