The Government of Nepal has extended its sincere appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for granting pardon to 128 Nepali inmates on the auspicious occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release issued on 15 April that Nepal highly values this gesture of clemency on humanitarian grounds, describing it as a reflection of the cordial relations between Nepal and the UAE.
The Ministry further stated that the pardon was granted following a formal request made by the Government of Nepal through the Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi.
