Baitadi's Jhulaghat and Darchula's Khalanga and Pulghat border points with India have opened in Sudurpaschim Province.

Information Officer Shivraj Joshi at District Administration Office, Kailali said Kailali's Gaurifanta and Kanchanpur's Gaddachauki border points with India were open for a long time. Jhulaghat, Khalanga and Pulghat border points opened from today.

The border points were opened by the Home Ministry in line with the Cabinet decision.

With the opening of the border points, people from both the countries can visit Nepal and India maintaining health standards. "People from third countries, however, are not allowed to enter the country," said Regmi.

Keeping in view the risk of COVID-19, the government had sealed Nepal-India border points about ten months ago.
