KATHMANDU, MAY 16

Nepal and the Republic of Korea exchanged congratulatory messages between their respective leaders on the occassion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations, on Wednesday.

Marking the momentous occasion, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' extended warm felicitations to President Yoon Suk Yeol and the people of Korea.

PM Dahal highlighted close and friendly relationship between the two countries based on cordiality, mutual respect and goodwill. While expressing satisfaction over a half-century old journey of bilateral relations, the PM stressed on celebrating the occasion with wider cooperation under the tagline 'Everesting Friendship'.

President Yoon Suk Yeol reciprocated, expressing confidence in the deepening of relations and cooperation across various sectors between Nepal and Korea in the years to come, the press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday said.

Established on May 15, 1974, the diplomatic relations between Nepal and the Republic of Korea have stood the test of time, the MoFA added.
