KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 05

Nepal recorded 174 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 814,289 while the death toll climbed to 11,438 with two fatalities today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 794,438 with 649 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 4,844 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 2,307 were PCR tests while 2,537 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,447,500 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 9 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 183.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.6%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 8,413.

Currently, there are 115 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
