Nepal Police's int’l training centre in Nawalparasi

NAWALPARASI: The first international-standard training centre of the Nepal Police has come into operation at Jargaha in Ramnagar of Nawalparasi district from today.

The Centre was established with an objective of producing skilled human resources to make the security system stronger in sensitive areas like Parliament and to be deployed in the hour of natural disaster.

At a programme organised here today, Inspector General of Nepal Police Upendra Kant Aryal inaugurated the Centre. The Centre was recently shifted to Nawalparasi from the Nepal Police Headquarters.

On the occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police, Bikram Singh Thapa said the training regarding traditional and modern arms brought in use by the Nepal Police personnel would be imparted to 50 police personnel including two assistant sub- inspectors, five police head constables and 43 police constables from different units of the five development regions.

The Centre is spread in 34 bigha of land and the Nepalese Army (NA) had handed over the Centre to Nepal Police on December 29, 2014.
