KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 20

Nepal recorded 209 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 818,787 while the death toll climbed to 11,495 with one fatality today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 799,989 with 444 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 7,136 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 4,145 were PCR tests while 2,991 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,550,471 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 33 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 242.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 7,303.

Currently, there are 98 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Friday, Nepal had witnessed 271 cases of the coronavirus infection while five more succumbed to the disease in the same period.
