Nepal recorded 232 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 823,786, while the death toll climbed to 11,552 with three fatalities today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 806,237 with 337 discharges logged today.
The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 5,997 against 6,105 a day before.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 10,4871 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which6,472 were PCR tests while 4,015 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,702,838 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 27 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 259.
The highest number of infections were recorded in the capital with 79 cases today, while Lalitpur is second in line with 42 cases.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.7 %, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.
Currently, there are 96 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
So far, a total of 20,234,822 doses of vaccines have been administered since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, of which 110,664,649 people have received at least one dose while 9,168,358 have received full doses.
Globally, over 268 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 5.3 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 241 million people have recovered while more than 21 million cases are still active.
