KATHMANDU, AUGUST 30

The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached to 3,146 on Tuesday as 143 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 997,122 while the death toll remains at 12,000 as no fatalities were recorded today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 981,976 with 232 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 3,921 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 1,458 were PCR tests while 2,463 were antigen tests.

With this, a total of 5,887,718 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests confirmed 114 positive cases in the past 24 hours. Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.5%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.

Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
