KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 17

Nepal recorded 363 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 818,035 while the death toll climbed to 11,483 with one fatality today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 798,916 with 202 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 11,993 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 10,106 were PCR tests while 1,887 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,530,686 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 49 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 412.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 7,636.

Currently, there are 99 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Tuesday, Nepal had witnessed 339 cases of the coronavirus infection while four more succumbed to the disease in the same period.
