KATHMANDU, AUGUST 07
The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal has reached to 5,659 on Sunday as 451 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.
The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 990,127 while the death toll remains at 11,971 as no fatality was recorded today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 972,497 with 433 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 3,789 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 2,040 were PCR tests while 1,749 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 5,835,631 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests confirmed 102 positive cases in the past 24 hours.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.2%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.
Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
