KATHMANDU, AUGUST 06
The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal has reached to 5,641 on Saturday as 326 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.
The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 989,676 while the death toll reached to 11,971 as one fatality was recorded today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 972,064 with 444 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 4,682 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 1,942 were PCR tests while 2,740 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 5,833,591 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests confirmed 334 positive cases in the past 24 hours.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.2%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.
Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
