KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 1
A team of seven talented Nepali climbers represented Nepal at the TATA Steel Sport Climbing Championship, held from January 24-27 in Jamshedpur, India.
Nepal Team Members included Panchamaya Tamang, Swastika Chaudhary, Pema Tsewang, Tenzin Khando Tamang, Sulav Rai, Tenzin Tin Tin Rai, and Manisha Budha Magar.
Panchamaya Tamang, Swastika Chaudhary, Pema Tsewang, and Tenzin Khando Tamang were sponsored by Musa Masala USA, Nirvana Gears, and Wongchhu Peak Promotion, whose support was instrumental in enabling them to participate on an international stage, according to Lhakpa Sherpa, Managing Director of Wongchhu Peak Promotion Pvt. Ltd.
Competing in this championship provided the athletes with invaluable experience, exposure to new routes, and the opportunity to connect with other climbers, Sherpa added.
For these rising stars, competing at the TATA Steel Championship was a significant achievment, reinforcing their aspirations to continue representing Nepal in future international climbing events.
