NC condemns attack on Paudel
Kathmandu, Nov 18
The Nepali Congress issued a press release condemning the bomb attack that targeted senior NC leader Ramchandra Paudel in his home district of Tanahun today.
The party said that it condemned the bomb attack on Paudel, which was carried out with the aim of assassinating him.
Paudel escaped unhurt, but security personnel deployed for his security were injured in the attack. The explosion damaged Paudel’s car.
“Criminal elements, that are panicking due to the ever-increasing support for the Nepali Congress are targeting one NC leader after another with the intention of ending democracy. We condemn these attacks,” said the NC in its release.
The party said that NC leaders, cadres, well-wishers and voters who have deep faith in Nepali Congress will not be discouraged by such acts of terror.
The NC said that the bomb attack on Paudel had violated people’s right to peacefully carry out poll activities.
The NC demanded that the criminals responsible for the attack be nabbed and punished.
