NC district presidents want unity

Hetauda, June 20

Most Nepali Congress district presidents have urged party leaders to be united in the ongoing gathering of district presidents in Hetauda.

Organising a press meet today, Nepali Congress Spokesperson Biswo Prakash Sharma said that majority of the district presidents asked the party leaders to be united to surmount the challenge of the left alliance. They have also requested the party leadership to take action against betrayers inside the party. Some district presidents stressed the need to end factionalism saying that it had left a negative mark in the district level as well.

Journalists were barred from entering the closed-door session of district presidents.

Meanwhile, four vice-chairs and one general secretary of Nepal Students’ Union aligned with the Nepali Congress submitted a letter to party President Sher Bahadur Deuba a seeking general convention of Nepal Students’ Union.
