‘NC has kept democracy alive’

BIRGUNJ: Nepali Congress President and former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Wednesday claimed that democracy was surviving in the country due to his party.

Deuba said democracy was able to take deep roots in the country owing to his party’s incessant vigilance despite mounting pressure from all sides.

Inaugurating Hotel Diyalo at Adarshanagar, in  Birgunj, Deuba criticised the government for failing to create investment-friendly environment in the country.

The hotel was constructed at a cost of one billion rupees.
