DHANGADHI, FEBRUARY 14

Nepali Congress leader Ramesh Lekhak has made a visit to Chadepani, Dogadakedar Rural Municipality-7 in Baitadi district as a central representative of the party to study and observe the progress in rape and murder probe of Bhagarathi Bhatta.

The report based on the study will be presented to the party afterwards. The study will include observation of the incident site, interview with Bhagarathi's family, discussion with local representative and with the Chief of District Police on the investigation conducted so far, informed Lekhak's Personal Secretary Janak Bhatta.

Different leaders from different parties have visited Baitadi in course of conducting similar 'studies'.

On the other hand, the team led by Chief of Provincial Police Office, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Uttamraj Subedi has been continuing its investigation into the case,

However, the perpetrator is still at large even after 11 days of incident. The pace of investigation has aggravated general public that has been staging peaceful demonstrations demanding justice for the victim.
