Nepali Congress Udayapur has recommended names of prospective candidates to contest in the upcoming provincial and parliamentary elections from the district. According to NC District Committee member Madan Raj Katuwal, a total of 30 names have been sent to the centre.

“While Dr Narayan Khadka, Bidur Basnet, Laxmi Pariyar and Pramila Rai have been recommended from constituency 1, Narayan Karki, Arjun Kumar Khadka and Sanjiv Thapa are the recommended names to contest from constituency 2 in parliamentary elections,” Katuwal informed, adding, 23 names have been recommended from the district for provincial polls.

The recommended names from constituency-1 for provincial elections are Bhojraj Khatiwada, Arjun Dahal, Shivaraj Rai, Dal Bahadur Tamang, Rajendra Poudel, Mausam Rai and Dr Bhogendra Chaudhary, while Himal Karki, Madanraj Katuwal, Mahendra Chaudhary and Saroj Basnet have been recommended from the next constituency for provincial elections.
