KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Nepal in Brussels organised a special programme to mark the Constitution Day on Tuesday.

Members of the Belgian parliaments, high ranking officials of Belgian government, high ranking officials the European Commission, ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps in Brussels attended the event, said a press release issued by the Embassy of Nepal in Brussels.

Similarly, Nepali diaspora, members of Belgium-Nepal Friendship Groups among others attended the event.

Speaking in the programme, Nepali Ambassador to Belgium Lok Bahadur Thapa highlighted the features of Nepal's Constitution-2072. He further underscored the need to have increased support and cooperation from the international community for peace, stability and economic prosperity of Nepal.

Ambassador Thapa stated that Nepal and BENELUX countries as well as Nepal and EU have been enjoying the best of relations and cooperation over the years and expressed his confidence that these relations would grow further in the days to come.
