KATHMANDU, JANUARY 24

The Embassy of Nepal in Bangladesh, in collaboration with the Bangladesh-Nepal Friendship Society, organized a painting competition titled "Nepal Through My Eyes" at the Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka earlier today.

The event aimed to celebrate the bond between Nepal and Bangladesh by offering students a platform to creatively depict their perspectives on Nepal through art, the press release issued by the Nepali embassy in Dhaka stated.

Ambassador Ghanshyam Bhandari inaugurated the event, appreciated the students for participation and encouraged them to bring their ideas of Nepal to life on canvas through their unique artistic expressions.

Ambassador Bhandari also emphasized that art serves as a powerful medium to foster cross-cultural understanding and bring societies together, he urged the young artists to continue unleashing their potential, the release stated.

President of the Bangladesh-Nepal Friendship Society, Moshiur Ahmed, also welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of the competition in enhancing bilateral relations.

The event saw participation from around 350 students representing 91 schools across Dhaka. Participants were divided into two age groups: 6-10 years and 11-16 years.

An eminent panel of judges will select four winners and 10 best artworks from each category. The winners and selected participants will be felicitated at a separate prize distribution ceremony to be held later, the embassy added.
