KATHMANDU: A woman was taken in custody from the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport on Tuesday  after a a big amount of US dollar was found in her possession.

The woman has been identified as Dhruva Kumari Sharma of Gaindakot, Nawalparasi.

She was heading to board a Buddha Air flight to Bharatpur when she was taken in custody after security personnel at the handbag checking area discovered USD 16,400 in her possession.

Police said they are investigating the case.
